I was with this flight for the entire time. I use VR headset. I had a single AFK alert. I checked for these throughput the flight. The maximum time I could have not noticed this (even though I was with the flight the entire time) would have been about 30 minutes.
I am extremely disappointed by this. As I have explained I fly using FlyInside with a VR headset. These AFK notifications do not come up in the cockpit at all. I did check the flight. I had one AFK. I had checked just before I started crossing the Bay of Biscay and there was no AFK notification. I next checked when I crossed the coast into Northern Spain and there was an AFK alert which I clicked. The maximum time that could have elapsed was about 30 minutes. I received a message telling me that the VA expects pilots to check in at least once an hour. I was with the flight the entire time! I do not know what I can do about this. I do not spend time away from the sim when I am flying (there would be no point). I appreciate that you have your rules and your software to enforce them. I am thinking that perhaps I need to look to join a different VA where this is not going to be an issue. I really don’t want to do this because I really enjoy UK Virtual.
Hi Brian. I was not aware that you use a VR headset, myself and tony accept the pireps between us i appreciate you have had the conversation with Tony already. Now that i am aware you use the headset for you flight's this will no longer be an issue. Just as a head's up the AFK appears 1 hour from your take off time then at 1 hour intervals from there, may be worth setting a timer on your phone or something. I have credited you with the lost AFK minutes and accepted your pirep, any further problems or questions please email myself of tony at any time. Ryan
Hi Ryan. Thank you so much. I promise you, I have no interest in abusing the rules of the VA. When I used to fly for Knight Air, we had a few members who produced ridiculous and incredible PIREPS. I could never see the point. I will be more vigorous in checking for AFK alerts in future. Kindest regard, Brian

Sorry Brian, AFK minutes excessive on this one for a 3 hour flight, we expect pilot's to at least check their flight once an hour if not more. Ryan
